Frontline Resource Fair

The 2019 Frontline Resource Fair will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30th at the Lewis Centre, Courtenay. It brings together a multitude of frontline agencies that serve individuals who are homeless, at risk of homelessness and/or living in extreme poverty. It enables them to easily access these vital community resources. As importantly, it also helps them feel valued.

Comox Valley Transition Society Aims Big for Burger & Beer Benefit

Comox Valley Transition Society (CVTS) has
partnered with PRIME Kitchen + Bar in Courtenay once again to host its second Burger & Beer
Fundraising Event with Silent Auction on Thursday, October 10, 2019. For every $20 meal that is
purchased, PRIME will give $5 to CVTS. The goal is to raise $10,000 from the combined silent
auction, 50/50 draw and meal donations.

“Double dog dare you” from one Penny to two friends triggered three local painters to commit to a year of exploration and development of their various painting styles, skills and methods used to represent the human figure in preparation for a group exhibition. The show runs from October 8-26 at the Pearl Ellis Gallery in Comox.
