eComox Valley, B.C. – Comox Valley’s COBS Bread location at Driftwood Mall will once again be showing they care by giving back to the community. This Saturday, March 27, 2021, for every six-pack of hot cross buns purchased, COBS Bread will donate two dollars to the Comox Valley Child Development Association (CVCDA).

Additionally, COBS Bread will be sharing the goodness ALL this week leading up to their annual Doughnation Day. The community is invited to make an online donation through the COBS online donation form (https://www.cobsbread.com/donate-now/). For every dollar donated between March 22 & March 27, COBS will match it up to ten thousand dollars. All proceeds will be given in the form of a cash donation directly to the CVCDA to support local child development.

Owners/Operators, Charlotte and Dean Seal, were drawn to the ‘fresh baked daily’ philosophy practiced by COBS. Additionally, quality ingredients, no added preservatives and scratch baking techniques captured their entrepreneurial imagination. These were just a few of the great characteristics that struck these two and created that warm, buttery smell and happy feeling when they first stepped foot in their local COBS back in Vancouver. When it came down to it, they just weren’t ready to part with the COBS fresh white rolls and hot cross buns they had come to know and love. “No where does hot cross buns like COBS” said
owner Charlotte Seal.

The COBS experience is also noted for going beyond their customers’ immediate needs because they strive to connect with the larger community as well: by donating their leftover baked goods at the end of each day, and being a real part of the communities where they operate
