We are excited (and so are the young filmmakers of the CVAG Youth Media Project) that after long delays caused by the COVID pandemic we can finally publicly present films created earlier this year.
Much thanks to Sid Williams Theatre for being such a great partner. The Sid will host two sets of live presentations at 3pm and 7pm tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 19. The live event is by invite only to respect COVID protocols, but they will also live stream the presentation. Visit the Sid’s website to see these works.
In other news, we are pleased to host another presentation of But Enough Art, Eat! from Wednesday to Friday, Sept. 23 to 25. This interdisciplinary community project features art, yoga, food, talks, music and more. The events are by invite only to respect COVID protocols, but stay tuned to social media for leave-streaming and documentation of the action.
SHOP:MADE will keep special hours next week. We’ll be open Wednesday to Friday from 2 to 7pm, and Saturday from 10am to 4:30pm. After that, we’ll resume regular SHOP:MADE hours of Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am to 4:30pm.
The exhibition spaces at the Gallery are closed right now as the CVAG team installs our next program: Walk With Me: Uncovering the human dimensions of the overdose crisis. It starts Sept. 30. Click here for details.
Our previous exhibition TIME OF THINGS: The Continuum of Indigenous Customary Practice into Contemporary Art, came down Sept. 11, but for beautiful images and more information see our e-publication.
See you soon. Stay strong.
