The Comox Valley Community Foundation is pleased to be able to support our community
through Community Enrichment Grants again this year. Applications from local charities
and not for profits will be accepted beginning Monday, August 24 through September 24,
2020.

Given the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and in recognition of the extraordinary
circumstances facing local charities and not-for-profit organizations serving our
community, the CVCF Board of Directors has agreed to fund “core operating costs” for
2020/2021.

“This is a departure from prior years, but having heard from local non-profits and charities
about the impact COVID-19 has had and continues to have on their operations and their
ability to raise funds through donations, fundraising events and ancillary operations, we
felt this was the right thing to do,” said Matt Beckett, President of the Comox Valley
Community Foundation.

“Organizations may choose to apply for a grant in support of existing or new programming,
facility renovations, equipment purchases or needed professional development in addition
to operations funding,” added Beckett. “However, organizations are limited to only one
application, so it should be their most urgent need.”
