We are so very grateful to have access to the Lake Trail Community School Garden to grow food during this time. Although we miss our community volunteers, our Garden Coordinator and board members are working towards getting fresh produce into the hands of those who need it.

For folks thinking about growing food at home, Lake Trail Community School Garden Coordinator, Elaine Codling, has nearly 30 years of organic gardening experience to share. Join the Lake Trail School Garden Facebook group to have your gardening questions answered!

On Tuesday, May 5, Greenways Land Trust is inviting everyone who is looking into starting a new garden to join Elaine for a one-hour presentation followed by a 30 minute Q&A.

Another wonderful resource for aspiring gardeners is Lush Valley Food Action Society’s Grow Food Everywhere Facebook page with more than 1000 members sharing gardening resources and supporting one another.

Both Lush Valley and the Comox Valley Horticulture Society are also offering online gardening workshops.
