Bright Colours At The Pearl Ellis Gallery

Members of the Pearl Ellis Gallery have responded to the call to bring in their brightest colours, to help lighten moods and the gallery walls during the dreariest days of winter. How individual artists interpret “bright colour” is the theme of the current exhibition, on display from January 28-February 15. Paintings, photography, fabric art and sculpture are included in the show and all work is available for purchase.

Grant Brings Funding To Courtenay School To Enhance Its Healthy Feeding Program

The kitchen area currently serves as a multipurpose room used by many community groups. The
space is occupied extensively by the school for its morning breakfast program that provides a
healthy start to the day for a minimum of 10 students and often upwards around 20 children on
any given day. At lunch time, the room is busy again with staff and the Parents Advisory Council
(PAC) prepping a healthy meal for many students in need
