Lake Trail Community Education Society is working alongside community facilitators and
partner organizations to offer an exciting, expanded line-up of community programming out of
Lake Trail Community Middle School this January through March.

A number of free or by donation events and workshops promoting inter-generational learning
and community building are lined up including a Waste Free Lunches workshop, guided walking
tours in Morrison Creek, a Watershed Café where participants learn about our watershed and
participate in a fun and interactive community mapping and art project, artist talks, and our
quarterly community potluck.

Our new Community Art Night drop-ins provide a positive space for families and community
members to connect while making arts and crafts together. Participants are invited to bring
their own projects or work from supplies which LTCES has on hand. For the winter session, we
are pleased to offer instruction on journal making, mini-tapestry weaving, and slow stitch
sashiko. All ages are welcome, and no experience is necessary.

Registered evening classes include a NIA Dance Workout program, Breathing 101, Yoga 101,
Healthy Gourmet Dips, a Pi(e) Baking Workshop on International Pi Day, Community Ukulele,
and six diverse garden workshops. Community programs are offered at accessible pricing and
bursaries are available if cost is a barrier.

Visit www.LTCES.ca for full program descriptions, registration, and to learn more about the
community school model and opportunities for involvement
