The Comox Valley Airport is pleased to announce the addition of a Public Bike Repair
Station located near the Terminal’s Arrivals doors. The stand can accommodate two
bikes at a time, features all the tools necessary to assemble a bike, and includes a dual
(Presta/Schrader) tire pump.

“The Comox Valley Airport is the point of entry for many of the visitors to the region”,
according to Airport CEO, Fred Bigelow. “With the growing popularity of cycle tours,
and the incredible trail networks within our catchment, we want to support this sector by
providing a convenient site to assemble bikes on arrival. YQQ is already a popular
meeting spot for local cyclists, and we hope they, and cycling commuters will avail
themselves of this handy bike repair station.”

We invite the public to join us in celebrating the newest addition to the local cycling
network with a Ribbon Cutting on Friday, September 20th at 11:30am – outside the
Arrivals Doors, YQQ – 1250 Knight Road.

Discover Comox Valley will be on hand to provide information on the upcoming Comox
Valley Farm Cycle Tour, Amped Rides will have some Electric Bikes on hand to demo,
and YQQ’s On The Fly Café will feature some Island Good snacks and coffee to enjoy.
