Imagine what it would feel like to simply walk out the door with only the clothes on your back, a comb, a folded toothbrush and the all encompassing ability to literally walk your talk. More than 50 years ago, one very ordinary woman took the first step on an amazing 28 year pilgrimage for world peace. She simply called herself “Peace Pilgrim” and after the 25,000th mile she stopped counting the distance, because even the attachment to this physical goal was no longer necessary. All that mattered was the magnificent state of being she had achieved by placing one foot in front of the other. Her complete trust in what each present moment would bring her way was a beautiful example of what it truly means to be free.

I believe that her legacy is the grace and open heart she radiated while speaking the inspired words of love and human fellowship she truly felt were not only possible, but our ultimate destiny. Within the world wide web (which I choose to refer to as “Women Wishing Well”), Peace Pilgrim’s book and talks are freely shared. They continue to energetically influence new generations of men and women who find themselves questioning their role in a life story they now wish to actively script for themselves.
