The Comox Valley Hospice Society (CVHS) is excited to announce our first place team of 11 enthusiastic and committed riders who are training for the Cycle of Life Tour ride and working hard to raise awareness and funds for the more than 1,000 people every year in our community served by CVHS. This includes people who are dying, caregiving and grieving whether at home, in long term care, in Comox Valley Hospital or in Hospice at The Views as well as coming to CVHS’ outpatient offices.

We’re pleased to introduce the Comox Valley Hospice team – VALLEY CYCLEPATHS – Marika Galik, Amber Aleksich, Derek Berg, Raida Bolton, Liz Brown, Nigel Brown, Christopher Kippel, Margaret Lam, Heather Roberts, Wille Scott and Juliana Leahy who have already raised more than $12,000 – let’s keep them in first place!

Since 2011, The Cycle of Life Tour has raised over $700,000 for hospice care on Vancouver and the Gulf Islands. This year, on July 20th/21st, 125 riders representing Hospices from across the region will embark on a 2-day cycle tour of almost 200km through the Saanich Peninsula, Cowichan Valley and Gulf Islands to raise funds. All of the money donated to the Cyclepaths remains right here to care for people in the Comox Valley!

There are a number of ways for you to help or get involved, too!! If you would like to donate to our team or an individual rider, we would be very grateful, please go to www.cycleoflifetour.ca and click on donate. And, new this year – You can join our team as a virtual rider!! Go to www.cycleoflifetour.ca and click on rider info for more information.

We are also looking for donations for our Yard Sale on May 11th, so while you’re doing your Spring cleaning, please set aside any new or gently used items and we will happily collect from you – just email reception@comoxhospice.com
We would love for you to come along and meet some of the team when we’re out and about at various locations around the Valley. Here’s where you’ll find us:

May 11th – YARD SALE, 2234 Grant Ave, Courtenay
June 1st – Quality Foods, Comox
June 29th – Thrifty Foods, Crown Isle Plaza

For more information on hospice care in our community please contact the Comox Valley Hospice
