Comox Valley Schools is seeking participation from the community in the development of their Strategic Plan for the 2019 – 2023 school years.

Every four years a new strategic plan is developed following the election of a new Board of Education. Part of the process involves public consultation with our education partners and members of the community (parents/guardians, students, staff, and the general public).

Two public consultation opportunities are scheduled, and the Board of Education encourages members of the community to consider registering to attend one of the sessions. Public consultation sessions will be held in the School Board Office, Board Room.

• Tuesday, April 23rd, 1:30 – 4:30 p.m.
• Monday, April 29th, 6 – 8:30 p.m.

Registration to attend a session is required and each session will be limited to 25 participants. To register email Debra Page at debra.page@sd71.bc.ca or by phone the School Board Office at 250-334-5528.

The community is invited to read the Strategic Plan for 2015-2018. To access the document visit the Comox Valley Schools’ website at http://bit.ly/SD71_2018StratPlan.

The community may also provide input and feedback through an online survey in addition to or in lieu of attending a consultation session. To access the Strategic Planning Survey please visit http://bit.ly/SD71_StratPlanSurvey.

Comox Valley Schools are a learning community that embraces diversity, honors relationships and prepares all learners for a changing world. A core element of our vision is inclusive and responsive community engagement between the Board of Education and our public education partners.
