We are sad to announce this event has been canceled due to ongoing public health concerns.

There is a lot of fun in store at the museum’s Spring Fling and Easter Things event which runs from 11 am to 2 pm on Saturday, April 6th!

The ever-popular petting zoo (courtesy of Shamrock Gumboots 4H Club) gives folks a chance to meet lambs, kids (baby goats), ducks, geese, bunnies and chickens.

We’ve also invited some special guests including Cathy from Magical Faces who will paint faces for a small fee and the Hot Chocolates Easter Rabbit who will be here between 12:30 and 1 pm to hand out delicious chocolate samples.

At 12:15 Al Morton will be giving a talk on how to attract Mason Bees to your back yard and he will also have Mason Bee houses for sale.

The Elasmosaur mascot will be making an appearance for fun photo opportunities. Then at 1pm it’s the race of the mascots to see who is the fastest of them all.

We’ve planned some fun, new crafts and activities for the little ones. Something else new this year is for adults…a “Peeps” eating challenge that will test grown-up agility. People can also enter to win door prizes and try their luck at guessing games.

We hope you can join us. Admission is by donation with half of the proceeds going to the Shamrock Gumboots 4H Club.
