Transit riders in the Comox Valley are invited to enjoy some festive refreshments and enter to win great prizes on Friday, December 14 at a Comox Valley Transit Rider Appreciation Day event.

From 7:15 am to 9:45 am transit riders will be greeted at the downtown Courtenay Transit Exchange on the corner of 4th Street and Cliffe Avenue with hot beverages and treats.  Comox Valley Transit is also giving away a Samsung Galaxy tablet package (valued at $300) to one lucky transit rider. Plus there will be chances to win other great prizes including gift certificates to Thrifty Foods, Mudsharks and The Broken Spoke.

For those that can’t make the event, riders can enter the prize draw via Facebook or Instagram by snapping a photo of themselves (on or off the bus) and posting it along with the hashtag #CVTransit any time between now and December 17, 2018.

There are a lot of benefits to riding the bus, from saving money, reducing traffic congestion, improving air quality and increasing social connection.
