Unity Comox Valley warmly invites you to bring family and friends to remember what the holiday season is all about – discovering the Christ Spirit within. Experience the joy of Christmas and begin 2019 anew with these seasonal services.

On Thursday, December 13th at 7 pm a serenity service provides an opportunity to pause and reflect. “This time of the year often reminds us of people who are no longer with us along with other sad and disappointing occurrences in our lives. Taking time to honour and acknowledge these memories and feelings enables us to move from darkness to light allowing us to more fully engage in the joyous activities of the season,” says Unity minister, Rev. Vicki Vanderhorst. This service is held in Unity’s Spiritual Centre, next door to the Lions Den in Comox.

On Sunday, December 23rd light a candle and explore the metaphysical meaning of the Christmas story. Carols, prayers, stories and the power of 12 candles will help you make an inner journey in search of the light of hope and the promise of peace during this darkest time of the year.

The following two Sundays, December 30th and January 6th offer a chance to begin 2019 free and open to new experiences with the Releasing and White Stone services. The Unity principle of release is the theme of the first ceremony where you will see your old limitations literally dissolve before your eyes creating space for better things to show up
in 2019.

The following Sunday is your time to explore all possibilities for the coming year and to become open to more good in your life. You will be given a white stone to represent the changes we wish to make and encounter. “The experience of these two services will help you release the past and set a positive intention for the coming year,” explains Vanderhorst.

Sunday services are at 10:30 am in the Comox Lions Den on Nordin Street in Comox. Unity is an inclusive spiritual community united by a desire to grow in a love-based philosophy and thus be a healing presence in the world.
