The creative neighbourhood that opens its doors and hearts for an old-time Christmas feeling is doing it again. Saturday December 8th from 10am -5pm, the TinTown Christmas Sale and Open House takes place on Rosewall Crescent in Courtenay. It’s an annual offering to the Comox Valley from the artists, organizations and businesses that work and live in TinTown.

Meandering from coffee to art to jewellery to stained glass to pasta to music is what makes this seasonal event so special. That and the welcoming hospitality at each venue, a personal connection to the artists, unique art gifts in every price range, food samples, videos, children’s activities, treats, hot drinks and more.

Visual artists Sue Pyper, Ian Fry and Helen Utsal will have originals, prints and art cards for sale. Window artists Nancy Morrison (stained glass) and Roberta Meilleur (RustWorks window art and jewellery) offer their light-catching pieces. Robert Moon will be at the TinTown Coffee Shop with his silver jewellery designs. There’ll be uniquely designed T-shirts by Gordon Ross, fair trade coffee, tea, chocolate and olive oil at World Community and at Project Watershed posters, calendars, hats, totes and Kus-Kus-sum gift cards. The TinTown Coffee Shop will be a warm spot with art & craft vendors and music along with coffee and food. The Comox Valley Waldorf School hosts its Winter Faire with activities for all ages, Prontissima Pasta offers yummy samples and there’ll be demos and a mini-workshop at Jen Burt Counselling and Art Therapy.

With all that art and heartfelt cheer, the TinTown Christmas Sale and Open House is guaranteed to make your season bright! Plan to be part of it, Saturday December 8th from 10am – 5pm. Bring friends and family, park your vehicle and dress for the weather. You’ll be warmly welcomed at each of the 12 venues.
