Cumberland WinterFaire features the exceptional talents of over 70 crafters and artists under three roofs; the Cumberland Recreation Hall, the Cumberland Masonic Hall, and the Cumberland Museum and Archives. Discover a variety of homemade, handmade, and fair trade goods. Exciting products for 2018 include: Upcycled bags; bowls, plates, and platters made from locally sourced and salvaged wood; handcrafted, small batch baked goods and confections; unique jewelry; quality handmade soaps; handwoven and knitted wearable art; felted textiles; plant-based health and wellness products, and more.
Make a day of it and share in the festive atmosphere with local musicians appearing on the two WinterFaire stages. Stop by the canteen for a tasty homemade lunch, and the Masonic Hall’s drink bar to warm up with a hot apple cider. Children are invited to create and take home a craft from the craft zone in the lobby of the Ilo Ilo Theatre.
“WinterFaire provides a great opportunity to buy one-of-a-kind holiday gifts directly from local artists and crafters while supporting a charitable organization,” shares Cumberland Museum and Archives Engagement Coordinator, Anna Rambow. “Proceeds from the event assist with the on-going work of the museum.”
WinterFaire takes place on Saturday, November 24th from 10am to 4pm, and is brought to you by the Cumberland Museum and Archives with thanks to Platinum Sponsor, First Credit Union. A donation at any door gets you access to all locations and the chance to win a basket of fabulous handmade products from WinterFaire vendors and items from the museum’s gift shop.
