A Great slate of Candidates in this 2018 election. This is so important to have competition in our democracy.
A few predictions- if this is allowed. For the CVRD, it will be a landslide win for Daniel Arbour in area A. A solid win for Rod Nichol in Area B and a majority win for Jay Oddleifson in Area C. Courtenay will re-elect Mayor Jangula, but council will be a balanced mix of left and righters. In Comox , it will be Russ Arnott for mayor and a mix of new councillors. ,In Cumberland it can only be Mayor Baird and most of the current Council.
All good people, dedicated to the do the best they can for the residents of the Comox Valley!
Great to see many running.hard work ahead.
Who would think that potholes would be an issue for rural residents? Only one candidate is working on this.He has my vote and he needs yours to continue his good work. Please make the effort to get to the CVRD boardroom on October 10,17,20.
Rod needs your vote to continue his good work.

I live in area A which is also rural. When it came to getting potholes fixed on our streets I contacted the Ministry of Highways and Transportation. I took pictures and emailed my concerns-to which they answered. The potholes that I sent pictures of have been fixed.
I don’t think the regional district has any say on our potholes.
Exactly right-Roads are a Provincial responsibility, as are many services within the Regional District. Roads,Ditches,Bridges, Snow removal. Road condition is a big issue in many rural neighborhoods. You are fortunate to get action on your concerns as many are not
Rod Nichol from Area B has worked to improve the situation which will take time to address. There is a new road maintenance contractor. There is a need for more investment in maintaining Comox Valley Rural Roads.Rod is working on this with the Highways Minister. Yes ,it is not his jurisdiction, but Rod represents his constituents and he has addressed many challenging issues in his 4 year term.
He has earned another term. Please vote for Rod Nichol, area B. Vote October 17th or 20th.
Thank you
