Just over 10 years ago, Roger Helfrick, his harps, and his cat moved to the Comox Valley. Immersing himself in the vibrant local culture Roger performed for many charitable and concert events. He and his family are moving from the valley now, destination still to be determined, and it is really important to him to take the opportunity to say goodbye to the Comox Valley and to all of you who have followed and supported him here on his “musical mystery tour”.
So, before he leaves, he is presenting one more concert, this Saturday, May 5th.
“Fare Thee Well” will feature Roger singing and accompanying himself on Celtic lever harp, medieval plucked psaltery, and guitar. As always it will be a wide range of traditional folk and original music with songs of love and loss, humour and sadness, and songs for Spring and the beginning of May.
The concert is at the COMOX United Church, on 250 Beach Drive in Comox, on Saturday May 5, 2018. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at Laughing Oyster books in Courtenay, Blue Heron Books in Comox, and at the door.
