The Cumberland Community Forest Society (CCFS) is hosting the second event in their NEW 2018 CCFS Science Pub Series, where experts, elders, ecologists, artisans and local knowledge holders share stories, insights and understanding about the science and mysteries of life of earth. Join RP Biologist Tim Ennis, Clinical/Master Herbalist Yarrow Willard, Environmental Planner Nancy Gothard and Medical Herbalist and Horticulture Therapist Chanchal Cabrera and other special guests for engaging presentations and discussion about Trees and Community.

Have you heard of the emerging theory about how trees communicate and support each other through a mycelium network? What is ‘Design for Ecological Democracy’ and how can urban trees can play a role in building healthier and happier human community? What is forest bathing and are you already doing it? How can we recruit old growth community in Cumberland, and what lives in that community?

These interactive, fun and engaging “Pub University” events include multi media presentations, samples and “senses on” exploration, live screen printing and botanical artwork, wicked door prizes, on theme beverages and more!
