Thursday, October 5, 11:30 a.m. corner of 5th and England, Courtenay

On  Thursday, October 5 at the corner of 5th and England there will be a rally in support of keeping the Abbeyfield Society alive and re-opening the Abbeyfield House.  As of September 30 the house is empty, all the tenants having had to find other accommodation.

Everyone concerned about seniors’ housing should pay attention to the closing of Abbeyfield House.

We urge the Abbeyfield Board of Directors to reverse their decision to dissolve the society and close the house. There are people willing to help.  Dissolving the society will result not only in the loss of homes for ten seniors but also in our community losing the experience and support that comes with association with Abbeyfield Canada and other Abbeyfield communities in BC.

JOIN IN! COME TO THE RALLY! MAKE YOUR VOICES HEARD!
