Project Watershed is seeking a part time ($15-20 hr/15-20 hrs/week) Administrative Assistant to work with Board Chair, Project Watershed staff and Directors to facilitate the stewardship group’s mission.

We are looking for an individual who is comfortable with computer applications (Microsoft office, and other in-house computer applications). The person must have good time management, organizational and prioritization skills. Activities expected include, but are not limited to:
-General administrative duties such as electronic and paper filing, reorganization and archiving.
-Working directly with Board Chair in preparing press announcements, grant proposals, power point presentations, reports, etc.
-Maintaining and updating Project Watershed blogs and posting to other related blogs on the website.
-Assisting the Board Chair and staff in planning public events (see website for variety of events).
-Maintaining a catalogue of equipment and other materials.
-Maintaining a database of personnel associated with the organization, familiarity with SUMAC preferred.
-Answering telephone and relaying messages to staff and Directors.
-Assisting at public events and with other society functions, as assigned, some weekend work required.

Applicant should be an effective communicator both orally and in writing, able to work independently and have good computer and filing skills. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues an asset.

This position is initially a 6 month position with review and possible re-appointment.
