Global Learning Initiative (North Island College)
The Global Learning Initiative is a project of North Island College. It saw students and faculty traveling to Uganda in January 2009, Nepal in May 2009, and an Aboriginal community in rural BC in June 2009. The project, which works with such organizations as World Community and the Africa Community Technical Service (ACTS), provides Nursing and Human Service students with opportunities to understand global community initiatives locally and abroad.
