It reminds me of the shocking way that our present government ignores evidence on almost every topic from crime prevention to environmental damage. They call public citizens 'radicals' if they criticize the construction of the Northern Gateway Pipeline or 'supporters of child pornography' if they criticize the surveillance of internet activity, against all evidence that Enbridge has a terrible record with respect to environmental safety or that it is not necessary to enter the internet space without a warrant to stop child pornography. There is a growing distrust of scientific evidence and scientists which I believe is not only unfounded but actually part of a manipulative program by powers that do not want the public to know and understand the evidence.
